Pretty interesting article if you are into the hybrid/future car thang. This is the part that scares me the most.

But these vehicles are all expensive prototypes. The challenge is to make a light, highly aerodynamic vehicle that's reliable, crash-worthy and, most important, inexpensive to mass-produce.

I mean yeah it's all well in good that a few people decide to get a hybrid or small energy saving car but until all the Giagantor SUVs and trucks are off the road we are at risk of getting squashed like a mouse by a elephant.

Should be interesting over the next few years.

yes that would be very scary riding in that little cheese wedge and people in their SUV's flying past you

(off topic) I think its funny, the past snow storms we've had. I've seen more SUV's stranded and stuck in snow banks. They just have the mentality that since they have a big SUV with 4-wheel drive that they're invincible.

Almost like seeing my neighbor get stuck in his cool KIA SUV... too bad FWD and SUV should never be in the same sentence.

It's because peopl think if they have 4wd they can drive as fast in the snow as in the dry, but it doesn't help them stop..
