I have never taken the R to the track or autocross and have no intention of ever doing that.

They are totally different cars IMHO.

The EVO is NOT very comfy for street driving like the R is.. and you hear a lot of road noise with the EVO that you don't hear on the R

...for a daily driver, I'll take the R any day of the week but for a track car, I'll take the EVO any time!

(they are just different cars for different purposes IMHO)

Yea the .:R is more suitable for both, so thats why you dont hear much of anything outside the cockpit, because of the actual high quality comfortable interior. But I bet you would love the .:R on the track. They are both awesome cars. I am not to big of Mitsu, because of the old 4g63's, but the EVO's are sexxxy.

I've seen how 'top heavy' the R is at the track.. and how it eats tires like nobody's business (even more than the EVO) so it would be an expensive track car based on the rate it eats tires IMHO..

Another driver closer to my level used up 1 set of tires in 1 day (5 sessions) on his R EEEEEEEK

At least the EVO gets 4 to 6 days out of a set of R compounds!

its not the same old 4g63...

there are 6 bolt and 7 bolt motors... intake manis, etc all kinds of shit different... flipped around

and they make amazing power...

on another note... the R really doesnt compare to an EVO on the track... but i agree the R is nicer for the street...

but then again... when ur pinned in the seat with 600whp... ur watching the road... not which one has a prettier dash

yes, thus I do NOT ever intend to take the R32 to the track (it's not it's purpose like the EVO IMHO)
