Default 2004 Jetta 1.8T

Owner Member Name: Anthony Vasquez
Year: 2004
Make: Volkswagen
Model: Jetta 1.8T
Color: Gunmetal Gray

Summary of the car: Bought it almost a year ago from the dealership with 26000 miles on it, really good condition, paid about 12K for it and has been a great car!

Pictures:

Engine Specs: 1.8T Stock as of now, K&N Filter and that nothing much

Suspension & Wheels: 18" Drag Wheels, on 235/35/18 Lexani N3000 wheels, Eibach Lowering springs all the way around, gunmetal gray just like the car

Comments: Planning on working on the engine next, just haven't started cuz its limited since i have 100K extended warranty. Wanna replace the pistons, cams, valves, intake manifold, cold air intake, upgade turbo to stage 2 or more, chip it, divertor valve, and 2.5" Turboback exhaust, no resonator, Brembo Gran Turismo Brake System , Neuspeed Front Sway Bar, Eibach Pro Damper Kits, and more as i get things done

You have the right mindset with those future mods, but you need to do some research. Some of the stuff is just going to be a waste of money, some of it doesn't really make much sense...

No use doing engine internals unless you're going to be putting down 350+ whp. And from what it sounds like, that's probably not your goal. You want a turbo back exhaust, not just catback. The downpipe is where you get more power from your exhaust. Plus, 2.5" is better for the 1.8T than 3". Get some new shocks, your stock ones are going to be dead quickly with your springs. You want a new diverter valve, not a BOV. An intake manifold won't get you much power until you have a big turbo. Read this:

Default Internal work

Hence why i am upgrading the turbo, there would be no point in doing a intake manifold on a stock turbo, but yeah i need a divertor valve, so that it can prevent backfires, but yeah 2.5 would be better just wasn't sure, this is the first jetta i have done internal work too. I am a tech but usually work on other cars. I order the stuts but haven't installed them yet, got the springs as a gift sp o installed them.

Fixed it!

Like Brett said, it sounds like you've got a good plan for the most part. Since this is your first vw, do some searching around the forum for some good info. There is plenty out there. Good luck and congrats with your new car.
