Default Aaron's newest addition, FourT1thirty's B4 TDI

I picked this up about a month and a half ago for $3500 while looking for a B5 V6 for my wife. It's a '96 Passat TDI. Too good of a deal and I couldn't pass it up since they usually go for $7000. The issue that dropped the price was a simple injection pump leak. Cost me $19 to fix. The car was stock when I got it.

Mods:
All new viton pump seals
.205 nozzles
TDTuning / VWMikeL 'everything we can get out of this ecu' software
Ventectomy
2.5" mufflerectomy w/turndown
defeated 5th injector
K&N in modded airbox
H&R springs and Bilstein sport struts (MK3 spec)
ECS 5-lug conversion hubs
G60 Corrado 11" rotors and calipers
VR6 5-lug rear rotors
Custom 5x100 - 5x112 wheel adapters
16x7 ET30 Enkei 92 Mesh wheels
B5 Passat 8-way power black leather seats
Black carpet, trim and package shelf
Euro headlamps, corners, fogs, bumper signals and dummies
Euro switch
Rear fog
Factory MK3 keyless entry
Stubby ant
debadged and rebadged. MK4 'TDI' emblem only
New NOS OEM VW mudflaps front and rear

I still have to complete the interior by purchasing the proper leather door cards and leather rear seat but as you can see I've gotten a lot done in a short time from originally picking up a non-running half-priced car on the tow dolley not two months agi... especially considering this is my first TDI.

Worst part about everyone loving the wheels so much is I've actually been thinking about selling them.

I can't drive much of anywhere out here anymore without getting out to check if they're all straight still. Since they're pretty much unobtainable I've thought about letting someone else worry about them all the time. Plus with the 1960s speed shop style logos on the doors it doesn't all work together too well.

I'm not really one for the forced old school look but I think a set of 16" New Beetle steelies widened to 8" would look good on there.

I'm glad to see you hooked up a nice TDI. Those things are a lot of fun. You need to build yourself a cutom mani and bolt a nice big turbo on that thing. Are you still running stock turbo now? You can tune that to 130whp or so. Have fun with it, and nice car, especially for the price

Yeah, I'm still on the stock turbo for the time being. I went turbo shopping and ended up with a VNT22 . I sold it on TDI club because I'm not looking for near that kind of power but it was simply too good of a deal. We were talking about upping it to an early Garrett or KKK off a GTD/IDI motor simply for more flow. I have too many other projects before I can get to putting a VNT on there.
