so this is a stock 16v? are the stock injecters up to that much? thats a very impressive power curve man. i'm new to V-Dub i was wondering what set up i should go with and it looks like it might be a turbo'd 16v for the win if they are that solid

Yeah, the bottom end and head are entirely stock, it has two corrado g60 headgaskets in place of the single gasket to lower the compression slightly. It's never even had a rebuild on it since it was assembled in germany in 1988. These engines are amazingly stout and can easily handle double the stock output on stock parts if you tune them properly.

To answer your question about the injectors, no those are not stock. I can't remember specifically off the top of my head, but I believe they are 35lb low impedence injectors from Racetronix. The car is running on Megasquirt which is an inexspensive stand alone engine management system. I highly recommend this setup and if you are local to the northwest I'd talk to Aaron (fourt1thirty). He ownes Euronation Motorsport (www.euronationmotorsport.com). He built my setup and is definitely a good source for parts and information.

And thanks, I like the power curve too. It is very fun.
