I don't think so. I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada and the truck has been in storage since mid-December.
I do plan a trip down your way next summer, though.

I'm presently building a 2 liter superdiesel (ported, balanced, big turbo and everything removeable powdercoated) and I've ordered a custom tonneau to finish off the outside.
It's gonna be a nice summer if my wife doesn't kill me for spending so much money...

IMHO, the VR is a great engine, but not in a Mk 1. They just aren't ballanced right and tend to handle like pigs. Now, others will try to tell you differently, but I think a good supercharged 8V is much better.
Large turbodiesels, IMHO, are a natural fit.

The new superdiesel 2 liter is going in now along with a newly rebuilt tranny from a 96 Passat. I'll be mobile again, with some real power, by weeks end. I can hardly wait.
