Default r3p00c's '96 GTI VR6

Owner Member Name: Coop, or Greg
Year: 1996
Make: Volkswagen
Model: GTI VR6
Color: Uni Black

Summary of the car:
I got my GTI last October in pretty bad shape. It hadn't been washed in ages, had a rear main seal leak, a bad throttle body, and tons of things just plain out 'missing'. About a year later and about 50 germanautoparts.com orders later, its finally in decent shape.

Pictures:

Engine Specs:
AMS ECU Chip
Auto Tech S/S Cat-back Exhaust

Suspension & Wheels:
17" Flik Artics
Bilstein Shocks/struts with Neuspeed Race Springs
Zimmerman Cross-Drilled Rotors Front & Back with Mintex Pads

Exterior Specs:
Badgeless grille
OEM Black European Rear VW Emblem
Smoked Sidemarkers
VR6 Lip
Removed side skirts

Interior Specs:
Silver-faced gauge cluster (Had a broken black-faced cluster)
Pioneer CD head unit with IP-Bus Ipod Adapter routed to the center console
OEM classic GTI lettering floormats
Momo Pedals
DE Shift knob and boot with Shortened Shift Rod
OEM Keyless Entry
Early headlight switch with parking light setting

Notable Acomplishments:
Taking a car that was bound for the floor and turning it into something nice.

Comments:

Future plans in the works: Euro plate to cover the marks on my new bumper, 2.9'ed polished/painted intake mainfold, intake, smoked e-codes, new side skirts, and smoked fogs/turns. I'll be refinishing the wheels over the winter when i have steelies/snows on. Also possibly coilovers depending on how much longer my current setup lasts.

Thanks to the Gravers for being my personal VW technicians!

Looks very good, ride height could use adjusting.

haha... you read my mind... i'm thinking about one, but i can't even haul him in my car while its hot due to my lack of a/c. i finally got all my parts for it though and it should be in this weekend, so i'll scope those recaro seats out soon after that

I just noticed... do you have a weakness for the whole black/polished lip wheels? Going back to the EP days

actually, it was a coincidence... i had been planning on getting a set of ariettas or long beaches sometime soon, but i came across someone who wanted to trade these to me for my stock pininfarinas. how can you pass something like that up?

i might still get some oem wheels just to be able to switch it up every once in awhile, but i'm really diggin' the black on black right now
