Default Trev0rBr's 1981 Jetta TD

i was gonna wait till my car was done before i made one of these, but i can update it later on. Hopefully later on it will be a car worth looking at, and maybe by the end of the summer it will be a car worth driving.

Owner Member Name: Trev0rBr
Year: 1981
Make: VW
Model: Jetta
Color: Regatta Blue Metallic

Summary of the car: Well, it's a car that was bought in maine and had had owners in all sorts of states, from Tennessee to Florida. It's been through loads of owner, 26 years of service, 186,000 miles, and yet it remained wreck and rust free through all of that, of course until i bought and some kid backed into me at school :^(, but atleast that's minor. Either way, it's a car that's been around, but it's straight and only has surface rust.

Pictures:

Now including euro bumpers!

and as requested my engine bay

newer engine

Engine Specs: Well currently it's a 12mm 1.6l diesel, but after easter weekened it will be a 1.6l turbo diesel that I plan on throwing an intercooler and some boost at, possibly some water injection, diesels are supposed to love water injection.

ok now it's a turbo diesel that i plan on throwing some boost at hehe

Suspension & Wheels: Fully adjustable weitec coil overs and polished Le Castelettes.

Exterior Specs: Wll it's a 2 door if that counts for anything hehe. currently it has damage on the rad support from being bottomed out, along with a whole lot of effed up paint, but after i get her painted she'll be a straight, sparkling regatta blue beast with a blacked out grill, which it already has but i'm gonna re paint it. Really the exterior will be basically stock accept for it being lowered with different wheels and euro bumpers, but it will sport the small goodies, mk3 handles and a little rubber antenna(oh whoopy an antenna!).

photoshopped:

Interior Specs: Me and my dad made a mk2 rear seat fit by putting it on the mk1 frame, and of course threw in matching front seats. I also got the non AC GLI spec 3 gauge center console. The interior is pretty nice aside from a little bit of sun damage on the dash.

Notable Acomplishments: Really none other than winning worst paint at A1 invasion, I got a nice little box of candy, loved that show btw.

Comments: I like to shoot black smoke with it. Like the time some kids yelled "bitch" at me as i drove by, so then i came back and left them in a cloud of stink and confusion.

Very nice. Any idea where I'd get a set of blue door pockets?

You need to introduce yourself at the GTGs or at OCB... instead of driving around in circles

i've got a drivers side one if you're interested. but if you're going to be looking, you could always use black ones from a cabby, alot of cabbies are being parted on vortex, they have a big speaker slot too, plus black matches everything, but if you want that one i've got let me know.

and friday i heard some weird noises as i pulled away, sounded like my whole drivers side front end was falling apart(which is why i looked under neath) but then i got in and realized it was my friends stupid jonny knoxville style glasses in the little shelf under my steering wheel.
excuses excuses...

woot woot turbo

Wow... I never realized it was a rattler. If you ever need any diesel performance stuff let me know. Mike at TDTuning.com was one of my two best men at my wedding (Detective was the other).

And the W-terminal... I appreciate it.
