i understand that but are you saying you busted your pan on the way there or something? why not just top off the oil or carry some with you.. honastly if your car is that low you should have some with you incase you need to move the car off the road if you damage something

the only reason i questioned it is because you seemed to blame your oil issue on the park..the roads i took there werent too bad but i assuem you saying some of the roads going there and back sucked. but that going to be the same no matter where you move the show.

Roads comming into the park werent horrible, but for anybody that heard me going up the hill to leave I drug the car for like 10 feet. I checked my pan, theres a small puddle under it, size of my fist, so I'm hoping it wont blead completely out. The road right before the park had those bumps/ditches int he road and that is what I sparked on. No big deal. I knew I wouldnt win lowest, No time to lower the car, girlfriend(ex as of monday) wrecked her car, manager at work passed away for no reason the night before. Just had a bad day, but I did have fun at the gtg, I knew I had only a slight chance of winning and wasnt really to upset by that.

Hey guys I just wanted to say that I had a great time at the gtg and met a few cool dubbers. I have to be honest but I felt out of place (kinda like the new kid at school) as it seemed most of you were good friends with each other but no big deal. I was down in the lancaster area this past weekend and figured it would be cool to met a few dubbers from the surrounding area. Watching the kickball game and seeing some nice dubs made the trip all worth while. I walked away with the hawkest engine award and was very suprised I was db's pick for best of show considering I had a small ding by the passengers rear quarter and had quite a few dead bugs on my front bumper from the ride down.

Here are a few pics of my car.

You might have proved one of your points wrong, but he proved the others in his favor. As well as Jason proving them wrong too. As stated, Dakoda was a big part of the first GTG. HE paid for the park reservation. Let's see here, at the time 16-17 year old Dakoda paying for the Park registration, organizing times and such. I give that props. You however, bashing him for things you don't even know about Where were you Saturday? I don't think I noticed you hanging around?

I think this post pretty much sums up what this site has turned into.

Neutral smileys for all parties so I dont get quoted and turned into an argument.

If dave has not seen this post yet I really think it should be deleted...its really taking a giant shit on something he tried to do for the members and a charity, and at a happy time in his life I dont think he needs to come on and read this

I dunno about anyone else but I had a great time despite the lack of sleep. This is probably the most looked foward to show/gtg of the year for me other than H20(sorry Dave it is O.C. after all )and its a toss up. I can't think of anything to complain about other than not getting a hamburger(snooze you lose I guess) It was great hangin out with my usual peeps, meeting some new ones, and finally meeting/hanging out with some people that I only get to talk to on here. I think the location is perfect(despite getting lost once ) hey we had that joint to ourselves...we could never have that at Long's Park or Long Level and we only do it once a year so whats the big deal? People go to Long Level every week. I love the fact that we have our "spoof awards" and not real judging or anything. I value what my peers/friends think over what some so called judge thinks any day! Lets not forget also what the procedes of this go to This is also not a "members only" gtg its open to anyone and it should be to show people that there are better forums than that one forum...well you know which one I'm talkin about and I agree with Josh that it sucks that Dave is gonna read some of the crap on this thread, he took some time out from a very important time in his life to see all of us and to hear anyone complain about it is probably gonna suck for him so lets drop the drama. One last thanks to those who helped run/organize this and I'm already looking foward to next year! Peace ya

Thank you Duke.

As for everyone else. Why would Dave be mad to read this, I expressed my opinion clearly stating I had a great time and it was a fun event. But he has also told me it would flop back and forth from locations making it fair to everyone. I put the idea of long level or longs park just as ideas and they get shot the fuck down. Longlevel is free, great scenery, a great pavilion, kickball fields ect. I have no problem paying to longs parks pavilion again. It was for charity as it has always been and should stay, no one has any right to bitch about that. Dave knows I'll tell it how I see it, and if anything, he should smile seeing everyone defending him thinking I'm bashing on his shit which I am in no way doing. I simply had a horrible trip there and back, but it was worth it. I already apologized for thinking it was a members only event, so drop that. And for anyone who thinks I'm pissed that I didnt win, your slightly retarded. Watch how I treat my car and you will quickly see Its not a show car to me, its to be driven and enjoy building.

Anyone else wanna try to tear my ass down another peg or are we finished here?

I was about to post up some quick stats but wanted to do a quick response on this thread. First and foremost thank you for everyone who came out...and congrats for all those who had a good time.

This year I was only able to put about 50% of my effort into this due to my wife's intense 3rd trimester and my newborn. I was happy to still make it out for a few hours and help give out the awards.

I backed this idea for one reason. To get everyone together (primarly ABE & York) and to raise some coin for a selected charity. I can't please everyone...I am not mad reading anyones comments on this forum. I feel this is a great place, I value everyones opinion. But everyone knows I have zero torelance for bashing or flamming. So cool it. That means everyone including moderators.

Hope to see everyone again very soon...and we have a few months till next year to make it even better So put your thinking caps on till then!!!

I LOVE YOU ALL,
db

P.S. Closing the thread as I think the topic is summed up by now.
