3rd Annual VWFORUM's ONE GIANT GTG
To benefit Alzheimer's Association
August 5, 2006

MARK THIS DATE!!! VWFORUM.com announces date of August 5th, 2006 for their 3rd annual ONE GIANT GTG in Levitz Park - Grantville, PA. This year we have chosen again the Alzheimer's Assoication, all money raised will go to help find the cure for Alzheimer's. Last year was a great turnout, we were able to raise over $1400. for ALZ. This disease hit my family close a few years ago when my grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease. We lost the battle in 1995, since then no cure was found. This is our chance to give a little back!

Alzheimer’s (AHLZ-high-merz) disease is a progressive brain disorder that gradually destroys a person’s memory and ability to learn, reason, make judgments, communicate and carry out daily activities. As Alzheimer’s progresses, individuals may also experience changes in personality and behavior, such as anxiety, suspiciousness or agitation, as well as delusions or hallucinations. Although there is currently no cure for Alzheimer’s, new treatments are on the horizon as a result of accelerating insight into the biology of the disease. Research has also shown that effective care and support can improve quality of life for individuals and their caregivers over the course of the disease from diagnosis to the end of life.

I had a good time at last years. I'll be there this year too. I'm going to have to ask off for Friday for the drive up.

I should be there, unless I have a state qualifier tournament. I have to reclaim my tire toss title.
