seroiusly, if you enter car shows to win a prize then i believe you may be in it for the wrong reasons. Joe, you were correctly classified in the street class, you are a street car. Jason Diem and Jeff are correctly classified as Mild for they only have aftermarket bumpers and NO molding or little to NO shaving.

Brian:: Local guys can't judge shows because then people would be complaining when i'd give you Best of Show

jeff shimps car is not wild by their cassifications, he just has every mod done to stay in mild thats why he wins...to get bumped a category you have to win top honors three times

Glad to see many VWF Members out yesterday hope everyone enjoyed the fun beautiful sunny day. Overall I was very happy with the shows turn out. VW's were lacking again however I tried to distribute the PUREURO awards fairly. I did state when I gave Eric his award for "Daily Driver" that he probably doesn't drive this as much as he did in the past. But hey move on maybe someone does drive their more today...next.

Like a few said above ^^^ go out. Show & enjoy the day have fun. If you are in it for the trophies and points then do your homework. Especially if you want to compete in the NCCA shows. The other VW shows, I'm talking E-Town, WF, H2O etc don't follow these rules I sugeest you go to those as well.

I will be posting pics tonight. Next Stop DUBS ON THE LAKE!

Yea man winning a show doesnt really matter because most of the time all you get out of it is a cheap plastic trophy that most likely will brake and only cost 5 bucks. In order to really get anything you gotta do stuff that you most likely dont want to do to your car, especially us VW guys. I mean grant it, VW's aren't that popular when it comes to shows of that sort. Thats why we hold are own shows were things that we like will be noticed and awarded for. I just like going to shows like Import War and shows like that because I like to see the creativity of others, and the idiot things other ppl do.

First off thanks everyone for putting up with my rantting. I was just disapointed i didnt place. Its not really the two dollar trophy. I just busted my ass in the last month and the 3 hours of cleaning that morning. Everyone that enters the judged events wants to win but like everyone has been saying winning not everything. Other than the judging bs i had a good time. talked to a few people but mostly kept to my self. (didnt really know anyone) But i did get to watch the first season of the family guy.seasons two and three are for dubs on the lake. db erics jetta is def hot, he has been driving that thing since high school. (we went to the same school) and sorry for being a dick about that to. Im kinda new to the whole show thing so i guess i have alot to learn.

from experience this is the best way to look at it....show your car because your proud of it, you get to meet people and hearing there input on what youve done is worth 100x more than placing... i drove 6 hours to boston to a show that had only 1 vw trophy and i already knew the car that would get it because it probably has never hit the street, but i still had a blast
