Default 03 VW Passat W8 questions ???

This is my first VW so i have some questions, feedback on how to make the car a little bit better is always welcome as well.

1.) If I debadge the car will it decrease the resale value of the car? And what is the easiest way of doing it?

2.) There is about 2" in between the rubber and wheel well, if i drop it about an inch to an inch and a half will it look ok, and will it rub while cornering? If not please suggest which springs to use.

3.)Just had it looked at, at the VW dealership, and they told me that because it is a W8 it will be 200 some odd dollars to replace all the spark plugs, does this sound right, he said it was cause the engine won't run well with off brand plugs, didn't really buy it but just wanted to make sure.

4.)And last, if anyone knows if i can chip this car, or different exhaust or if i have to do custom work but i want morepower from the engine.

Love the car and love the site any suggestions on how to make it beeter please let me know. Thank You All.

Bling!

On the plugs, just find out what they are, more than likely NGK's. The dealership is full of poop on that one. It may be a PITA to change them because its such a large engine crammed in there, but I don't think it would be 200 dollars difficult.

As far as performance mods, I don't really know about the W8, I am sure someone else will chime in.

On the drop, it should be the same as other Passats, perhaps DB can tell you how far his was dropped and if it rubs.

Welcome to VWF!
