Default 32mm vs 45 mm offset

Hi guys just wondering, I can get a smoking deal on some 18" rims, but the only thing is they have a 35mm offset versus the factory 45mm, does that make that much of a difference, thank you guys.

Depends on the current clearance you have with your current wheels, what brakes you you have and how much of a gap/poke you can handle between the fender and wheels. post up what you have and we can help you out wtih what it will do.

Wheel Offset Calculator

best i can do without seeing your setup and my limited knowledge of that vehicle.

If you have 7" wheels on your car now and are going to an 8" wheel you loose 3mm of inner clearance and add 23 mm extention outward from your fenders.

If they are both 8" then you are pushing your wheel 10mm out like using a spacer bascially. not too bad an idea on most VWs...
BTW, i like those wheels man, good luck.

Hey I was checking the vw website and they have a 18x8 rim on their sport package, so if i understand correctly my wheels will be pushed out about 1 cm towards the outside of the car. I have not received the car yet, but i made a deal so the car brings snows on 16" alloys and then i just buy the summer stuff. thanks for your help. will post some pictures when i get the car.
