Default how to do rear pads?

I am in the process of replacing rear brake pads and I cant get the caliper to move back. Do I need a special tool or what. I've done brakes on other cars before and just used a c-clamp to push it back. It is a 2004 Passat.

Thanks

Youve got 4 wheel discs right? People on this site say you need a special tool to rotate as you compress, but Ive never used anything but a c clamp and Ive done this maybe 40 times on lots of cars, I did my rear GTI discs 2 weeks ago with only a cclamp.
but sometimes you got to get pretty aggro to make it compress.

Thats just my experience.

Use the c-clamp and if it won't compress, grab the piston with a pair of large lockjaw pliers and turn it. I have done this numerous times and its fine -
