Default Turbo Timer help please..

Hello everyone,

My car: Passat B5 1.8 20VT (Model 2000)
I installed a boost/turbo timer gauge from Daemon and I need a little help with the turbo timer installation.
There are four (4) wires coming out from the gauge's CPU:

1. Yellow (Power straight from the battery)
2. Black (Ground)
3. Orange (Ignition Coil)
4. Blue (Key)
Here is the diagram (the first page): http://www.daemongauge.com/manual/Daemon_E_BOOST.pdf

At the ignition switch there are some wires and I tried with two of them:
A yellow/black wire, which have power when I turn on the switch and lost power when I turned it OFF.
A solid red thin wire, which have power when I turn on the switch and lost power ONLY when I remove the key from the ignition.

I cut the yellow/black wire and I connect the blue and orange wire on it.. but didn't work..
Then I cut the solid red wire and I connect them at this one.. When I turn OFF the switch the engine stopped (again) but when I remove the key from the ignition, the radio was still playing until the turbo timer finished the countdown..

Does any one knows how to connect these wires??
Thank you in advance (and sorry for my English..)
