Default A1,A2,S1,S2 door handle removal for armor door plates

Hi everyone! Just getting back into the swing of things from a long VW layoff. I have a quick question for anyone who can help. I am trying to install some armor door plates on my S@ 16v Scorocco and I can't get my door handles off. I've unscrewed the handle from inside the door jam section but the handle won't come off... Is there another screw(s) that I need to be looking for? I don't remember the handles being so difficult to remove. My thoughts were that once the screw inside the door jam is out the handle would just pry off... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

The pull lever inside the door might be hanging it up, try sliding the handle towards the left and removing it. Its worked for me on a few Mark 2s and 3s.

Moving to the Scirocco forum. Someone else might be able to help you better there.
