Default V8 Touareg..Would You Buy It with 175K Miles?

I am intersted in the purchase of 2004 175,000 mile Touareg at what seems to be a very reasonable price. Under 6K... It is the V8 4.2 model. Overall condition is excellent. I have owned VW's, Audi's and Porsche's most of my life so the milage while high does not scare me, at least with the Audi's I have had. Buy it or run? Also, what would be a fair price and what should I look for on this high milage Touareg? Thanks for your help.....

The 2004's seemed to have alot of issues. However, at that mileage, they have probably all been corrected. With air suspension, the front stepper motors would fail causing premature tire wear. Also, rear propeller shafts have been a problem. Have seen some transmission failures as well. An excellent condition example for under 6 grand may be worth the risk. That's alot of car for the money. Have it checked out by a reputable VW technician. Make sure there is nothing requiring immediate attention. (Timing belt, front suspension control arms as well as the items already mentioned)
