I am reworking a '86 VW Vanagon with 2.1L engine. I am trying to locate a piston wrist pin puller to remove the pistons and put in new rings. There is a picture of one in the Bentley manual that looks like a tiny slide hammer with a long rod. I bought one off of Ebay that is similiar but the rod isn't long enough to reach through the block sleeve hole to pull the pins out of #1 and #3. If anybody has done this before or knows of any tricks or where I can get the long puller please let me know.
Thanks, Brad Last edited by BadBradokc : 07-05-2008 at 04:30 PM. |
