Problem with my Transporter van

Every now and again my 05 van suddenly loses all power and goes into "limp home mode". I have gone to the garage several times with it but with no success. If I stop and start the van the problem goes away, can anyone help?

Hi 9/10 times this will be a fault with the turbo,It is a variable vain type and the vains seize.One other thing you could check though one the bulkhead under bonnet there is an exhaust preasure sensor it is about 3"long with two rubber hoses and a multiplug.Take it off,shake it and see if any water comes out,if it does fit new one and problem solved.
