Default hello from central PA

hi all, my GF has a 2003 jetta 1.8t auto (with the tiptronic, or sportronic or whatever you guys call your auto stick... i refer to it as a sporty, since i drive a 2001 eclipse spyder... anyway..). we hit a deer with the jetta, and decided that is the best time to start modding. ever since i put projectors in my eclipse she has been wanting projectors, and she fell in love with the r8 ones:

anyone had any experience with them? are they good? crap? just need extra love to be good?

i figured talking to the people that know is the best way to start.

she is also looking at this grill:

the chances of us NOT getting that are slim.. that is a sexy piece of kit.

as with all new members to car forums.. i guessi should post up pics of the (her) car...
(click them for full size)

hey, i said we hit a deer...

and if anyone cares, i will post pics of my spyder later.

so what's up all?

personally those lights are horrible looking. they probaly dont put out a good beam of light either. check out ecstuning, mjm, parts4euro, performancecafe, im missing a bunch others. they sell nice reputable lights. as for the grill. it can work. just make sure it is color matched to the car. not too many people buy the cheap ebay parts. mostly due to fitment and quality of them. i recently ordered a 3in stainless downpipe for my gti from ebay. im curious on how it is going to fit and if the welds will hold up.
