Smile Here for help, please!

Hello. So I have 2005 GTI. I bought it brand new and finally have the chance to play around with it. Thing is, I really don't even know where to start. I want it to be quick but not riced out. I normally work on muscle cars. I wanted a change of pace bit I need a little help first. So if anyone has any suggestions or advice, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!
