Default Hi everybody (+ a question)

Hello everybody,

I'm hopefully a few steps away from becoming a proud owner of a new Golf MK6. Not only that, but it's gonna be my first car too (actually it'll be both mine and my girlfriend's).

Now there are still a few things I am unsure about and I'd like to hear some opinions about one of them. Thing is we're both noob drivers and I'd rather play safe and get some sort of parking assistance. So I have to decide if I get optical parking sensors or the reversing camera (the camera would also force me to also get the cooler CD-player RCD510 so I kinda like the idea). None is also an option.

So which one should it be?

Thanks!

welcome to the site! Sharing is hard to do man, GL with that.

I would say get the reversing camera and a set of steelies...once you get the hang of parking and stop rashing the curbs and your brand new wheels, put the alloys back on and sell the steelies of use them for winter tires.
GL and enjoy the site, post pics when you get it!

Thanks and sorry for posting this one twice. At least sharing is better than no car at all, isn't it? And we both do not necessarily need the car for going to work... and for all the other things we'll probably use it together. So for now I really do hope that sharing won't be a problem.

Thanks for the tips. I didn't know that alloys are not beginner friendly. Well, I'll place the order next week so, unless it takes ages for it to arrive, I'm gonna have to get some winter tires when I get it anyway.
