Greetings all. Just got a 2007 Passat 3.6 4motion on Tuesday.

Did a lot of research over the weekend on forums like this, so already owe lots of folks a 'thanks'!

The Passat replaces an 06 MINI Cooper S Convertible -- loved that car, but need a sedan and something the wife could drive in the snow

No big plans for the Passat yet, but it's my first VW so I'm sure there'll be plenty of Qs eventually!

Hi-
My name is John.
I live in Brunswick Maine.
I bought a used Volks. Golf '95 and like driving it.
Unfortunately, I found out it has an oil leak and a bunch of parts apparently need to get replaced; head gasket, timing belt, something else, according to my mechanic.

Anyhow, I don't much about cars but I do want to learn more so that I can take better care of the one I've got.

Anyone here have experience fixing up older Golfs?

-John from Maine

Default Hello, Everyone.

This is me.

I drive a 2001 MkIV Jetta Wolfsburg 1.8T (AWW)

I just got this one so, so far it only has a Neuspeed short ram intake. I plan to put a Militek turboback kit, and some Eibach coilovers as well as change over most of the bushings to polyurethane. I don't really plan to go too overboard with the mods.

If there are any suggestions, though, I would definitely appreciate it. I would definitely like to see what everyone else is driving.

Lmao @ "not an inconsiderate jersey driver"... frm bayonne, NJ

I guess alot of people do think jersey drivers are jerks. I was on my way to ny to go to work, got pulled over coming into ny from george washington bridge, cop made me walk to his car, asked for 4 ids, and he told me to go back to jersey and drive like a jerk! Lol. No ticket.

Crazy thing

Hello everyone. I finally have another vw. I had a 73 superbeetle but sold it and have now got another vw a 2003 Passat and am loving it. They only had one key so I have had to go to the vw dealer and get a spare made. Had bought a supposedly OEM VW blank fee off ebay to later find out that it was not an oem. Beware. It did look exactly like the oem but although the medal was silver on the outside is was a gold color on the inside after the vw dealer reluntantly went ahead and cut if for me. Glad to be here and hope I can get some help as I find things I need some help or advice with. I am located exactly 100 miles between the 2 closest vw dealerships and not many folks around here drive vw's for that reason. Guess the newer ones pose more problems than the old beetles that any mechanic would work on. Thanks in advance!

Glo

Hi, everyone, my name is Clen, I live in Atoka, TN. Born in Panama, and grew up in N.Y, now I live in the country, so that's the reason for being the first latin red neck. I own a 85 VW golf, and i'm having problem engaging 5th gear, everything works, but I have to push the shifter a little. Is there any kind of adjustment to it? Please, help.
