Just bought my first VW since the Beetle I owned in college 40 years ago! I bought a Golf 2.5L with manual transmission and picking it up tomorrow, all detailed with new alloy wheels. VWs have come a long way since I had mine in the 1970s and hopefully I will enjoy the Golf as much as my Bug.

Hey all, been lurking around here the past couple weeks while looking for a nice Mk4 Golf, always been a fan of Mk4's. Looked at one on Sunday, and going to pick it up tonight! 2002 Golf 4dr 2.0 with 137k on the body, and 84k on the motor. Came with Recaro GTI 20th anniv seats! Excited to be a part of the forum!

Hi. I have a 1972 Beetle that I have owned for 15 years. I just had it torn apart and repainted. (Was white, now red) The motor and transmission are rebuilt and I have installed disc brakes all the way around. I am slowly replacing all of the parts to upgrade them.
