hey my name is Terry. I just bought a 2012 Jetta S. This is the first VW I've ever had, I used to drive an 05 Mazda 3. I don't know anything about VW, so hope to hear some good feed back from you guys. I'm looking to get some wheels, tint, exhaust and who knows what else in the future. If anyone is from the NJ area and is willing to help, that would be great too. Thanks guys, so far I'm loving the car.
Hello. New forum user from Springfield, IL. Also new to VWs. My wife's van was rearended and totaled out, so we needed a new vehicle for her. Took the opportunity to downsize her vehicle a bit to up the gas mileage. She was looking for a 4cylinder, 5 speed, hatchback. ended up coming across an 02 VR GTI Golf. she fell pretty hard for it and it ran great on the test drive. Took it out on the highway yesterday and found out it overheats at higher speed. all the research so far is pointing to the waterpump needing replaced and fortunately the online support makes the job look very possible for a DIY. Thanks for having this forum and providing so much help for me so far. I imagine I will use the forum a lot to help keep her new baby running strong.
Hi everyone, I am looking to buy a 95 Passat Wagon but the guy says it has a coolant leak (coolant port made of plastic??). I'll have to trailer it home but my question is, does ANYbody know the correct name of the part the guy is talking about? I need to find the part and need a correct name for it first. Thank you so much!!

Hey y'all, I just joined here so I'm still trying to figure this website out.
I just bought a 2002 silver vw Jetta 1.8 turbo with a 5 speed manual. I plan to do a little modifying to it but not much. It has 182,000 miles and its in great condition besides the paint on the trunk is peeling and the driver seat is ripping.
I was told it gets around 34 mpg. Is this true? I was looking for one that gets that. In advance I preciate any help. Thank yall
So my father-in-law and I realized that there is a oil leak somewhere; come to find out it needed a new "valve cover gasket" I bought it at a VW dealer. then I changed the oil and a month later i kept getting the oil light on my dash. I changed the oil and still get the indicator.WHAT DO I DO???? the car has never gave me problems.
Hello I'm new. I have a 2012 Jetta stock with 115hp. I don't know much about tuning so that's why I joined this forum. I would like to increase torque and hp on my very slow car. Any tips ?

As you may've guessed by my user name I have a 2001 VR6 and also a 2000 2.0. The 4 cylinder engine is toast and am wondering what actually goes wrong....I know it's an interference engine. The VR6 runs but is "a bit skinned up" so I'm thinking of getting a Duraflex body kit for it...as the parts that I'd want from them are messed up on my car. Anybody ever use their stuff? Anyway, about me.....old enough to remember the moon landing....new to the Jetta scene...upper Midwest...snow. So the ground hugging body kits aren't all that popular around here perhaps...but I love the look. Hopefully I can get some answers....after this long winded: "Hello."
Check out or just google 2000 Jetta Body kits and one site CARiD.com - Car Accessories & Parts has some cool stuff. Just love that look. A person can buy stuff piece meal but some money could be saved on shipping to go for the whole enchilada on the full kit. The shipping is a bit spendy. Anyway....that's what I've discovered for my Jettas and hope to get mine done for summer cruising.
Hi every one I am Kirk from michigan. I picked myself up a 2002 jetta 1.8t on friday. Other than a few dings in it she is in pretty nice shape(minus the usual stone chips in the front bumper are). Will throw some pics up of it after I get a good wash on it.
