Smile New golf

Hey guys,
I just bought myself a MK3 Golf 1995. It has 256 000 kms and it has some spots of bubbled rust. Its my first car by the way. Here are a few pics!

Freshly washed!

Sound system

So yeah I bought my golf and it had a few esthetic mods to it:
-17'' Fastwheels rims
-Low profile tires
-Performance exhaust
-Dark black tinted windows

and has some fairly new Tokico shocks with a 2 inch drop.

I then got put in a sound system with 2 Infinity front speakers, a pioneer deck, 2 10'' Pioneer Subs, 2 MTX 6x9 speakers and a Alpine V-Power Amp.

thanks! The only thing is that I'm not sure if its worth putting performance parts on it.. I wanted to put a Surge Performance chip on it but I don't know..
Its the CL model, small 1.8 liter engine.. I will get my air intake soon but I don't know about the chip..

worth it or not?

By the way, can you see the pictures I posted? because I can't.. maybe its my mac.

I can not see the pics, just red X's

Mods are always good IMO, no mater the model/year/mileage. but that is me, if you feel it is not worth the money don't do it, depends on what ratio or Money spent/funperformance returned... that is a pretty personal desicion. are you going to restore the car or beat on it until it breaks.

Once the brown metal cancer sets in it is hard to spend too much money on a vehicle tough unless part of it is fixing the rust.

A common thought is that Halos only should be rocked on Bimmers...i am one that subscribes to this thought process.

why spend money on those when there are things like fixing that hatch up, and painting your grille that need to be done first. then get some projectors instead of halos IMO...

Happy Dubbing!

Yeah I heard that too that they are doper are Bimmers..
But what do you mean by fixing my hatch? do you mean the inside liner that is hanging or...? Sorry I don't understand what you meant..
As of the grill, it was meant because I thought It would match with the rims..I will try to photoshop it and see what it would look like in black. Thats a good idea! haha
Anyways thanks for the tips and the greeting!!

Only meant the hanging interior parts. Looked like they might be broken and needed to be replaced from the pic.

Yeah try the color matched grille, it will look cleaner

I just wanted to know what the purpose of an air pump for a cold air intake is. I'M buying a Neuspeed kit but I don't know which one to get.. the one with the factory air pump or the one without?? I've also heard that, on MK3's untill the 96 models (excluding 96), they need the air pump?
Can someone help me out?
Thx
