Default New Guy/Instrument cluster question

Hey there, I'm new to all this. I have an 82 Jetta diesel that has issues. When I bought it, the electrical system was shot. I used the wiring harness out of an 84 (American Built) Rabbit diesel. Problem, I don't have an instrument cluster that works. The Jetta cluster was ruined with the rest of the wiring and the Rabbit cluster doesn't fit. I need to know what cluster will fit my dash brackets and still plug into my wiring harness. I don't know if the wiring plug for the Jetta is the same as the Rabbit, because my Jetta did not have one. Ideally, a Jetta diesel cluster 171 919 035 would work. But no such luck finding one in the local junkyards. Not worried if the donor cluster would be gas or diesel, as long as it fits my brackets/wiring. I assume if I use a gas cluster, I would lose glow plug indicator, along with some other minor issues--but that's not important. So, if anyone can tell me what cluster would work--(give me at least speedo and guages) I would be one step closer. Thanks for everything.
