new MkIII Golf TDI in Toronto

Hi all,

Just bought my first VW ever - a 1996 Golf TDI as a beater to kick around for the winter (I ride a motorcycle the rest of the year).

Name: Mike
Location: Toronto, ON
How'd you find the forum?: Google

The car's got a few 'surprises' that I'm looking for help with - namely the speedo/odo seems to cut in and our, and my rear driver side door doesn't lock. Looks like it'll be a little bit of a project car as well!

I've generally found these forums are a far better source for info than dealers or mechanics - hoping the trend holds true here =)
