New, too
I have owned VW's for over 40 years. I currently have an '04 Passat W8 4Motion wagon. I love this VW!! I purchased it when I overheated (dumb dumb dumb) the engine on my '90 Passat which was intended to be my last VW. I purchased the '90 Passat new. It has 85K miles on it. I found a used engine that I had installed. There is a clogged injector that I need to deal with. Before the '90 Passat was a '71 Super Beetle that I purchased new. My wife learned to drive in this car (auto stick shift). I gave it to my niece when I bought the Passat. The 2nd dumbest car move I have done. Kids don't care. Prior to the Super Beetle was a '62 convertible. It had a tired 36-hp engine in place of the original 40-hp engine. Without question, the #1 dumbest move I did was to trade the convertible in for the Super Beetle.
