Exclamation Overheating problem

Hi i have vw golf 2.0 and today i have a overheating problem it was happen before and it was the thermostat but now i think is not this . Because when i drive and after 2 minutes it start overheating and it dosent stop then the temperatur gauge flash and i need to stop every 2 minutes to cool the engen the upper hose of the radiator is hot so is not the temrostat and by the way the engine is not hot and the fans isn`t turn on when the tempearture sohows 220 f
so i donot know whati si it the water pump but i do not see a leaking and i do not thing is the head gasket becaus i do not smocke help ive me some advice and by the way it is overheating when I drive after 2 3 minutes drive is start overheat fast an the fans on but not every time .when I stoped it is coool down for 1 to 2 minutes is a posible to be a cooling temperatur sensor ? or i do not know

to me sounds like the water pump. but who knows could be anything. have you had it looked at or is the CEL light on? if so scan it for a code.

my cel light just on I am thinging it is a cooling tmepreatur sesnor BUT I do not know and by the way this hope when I start drive after 2 to 3 min drive and start overheat fast and the fans tur on I stoped the car and after 1 t o 2 min is cool down normal so I realy do not know and I thing is wate pump but no leak\ when I STOP AND IDELING TE TMEPRRATUR IS OK

Your water pump can fail internally, the impeller can be shot and it wont leak.

BTW its incredibly hard to understand what your saying.

it was the water pump ) I fix it . the plastic wheeel was broke
