Default 19" Rims on a GLI??

Hey everybody,

So I am kinda new to getting rims, I found rims that I like, but not 100% sure they would fit my car without problems. The rims and tires come as a set for $1200 (CDN) they are a set of black w/ chrome lip 19X8.0 Spyn Zx Tuning (5X100 bolt pattern) mounted on 225/35/R19 General Exclaim UHP tires. I asked him what the offset was and he gave me the tire width... again...?? He said he previously had these rims and tires on a VW golf and that they would fit my 2004 VW Jetta GLI VR6 without any problems. Also if anyone could find the offset (somehow) that would be very much appreciated. And why not give me your opinion aswell, I'll take all negative and positive responses. here is a link below to see what the rims look like. THANKS

On the SPYN Canada website it has a application PDF. On it it gives this info (which I'm sure you've seen):
Size: 19x8
PCD: 5x100
CB: blank
ET: 35

Now, I'm not sure what you call an offset in Canada, but maybe it's represented by "ET" for you guys, cause 35 falls into the acceptable offset range of your car. Which is 35 - 42. If the rims fit on a Golf, I'd be willing to bet they'd fit on yours offset wise. The only thing I'd think about before hand is brake clearance as you have larger GLI brakes but with 19"s you shouldn't have to worry too much.

If you want to be 100% sure, call the actual manufacturer and ask them for all the dimensions of the rim.

Now for a comment on the look of the rims, . They actually look alot like the ones I plan to get for my 05 GLI. Good choice in my opinion.
