Default WTB: MK4 GTI/Jetta or B5 Passat 1.8T/VR6 under $7k

My cousin Adam is looking for his first car and he wants a VW (I've taught him so well). I'm trying to keep it under 100k and he is looking anywhere under the $6500 price range (a little more is okay, I know how to bargain ). Preferably a 1.8T or VR6 with a manual tranny.

Yeah I know, but ti's worth a try. MK4's are coming down a bit now that MK5's are out. I found a couple on autotrader that he's looking at. I tried to tell him to get a MK3 VR6 but he wants a MK4.

i have a 2002 jetta with a 1.8t and 5 speed. it has 100,400 on the dot. i have all the service records since new and the clean car fax for it. it is black with black heated leather, it has all the options possible. it has tinted windows, black 17" 5 point double leg vw rims, and it is dropped on bilstien adjustable coilovers. the rest of the mods are euro jet front mount intercooler, giac chip, forge dv, k&n bov, 2.5" exhaust with side outlet, i think thats it. i'll give it to you for around what you want to pay and it has about 3k worth of mods, let me know...
