My reverse lights (on '03 Mk4 1.9TDI 5-manual) only go on when the clutch is engaged after selecting reverse - not when put in reverse. I am about to replace the switch but am afraid to break the connector that pushes on to it.
I need a bit of help describing how to remove the connector without breaking it. The rest seems straight forward.

Hi, I was trying to start a new thread with the following question to try to get peoples feedback but couldn't so I thought you could either tell me how to start a new thread or give me your thoughts on my question "I hope someone can help, over the weekend I noticed a sound coming from the front end of my '04 Jetta. It didn't sound like the motor knocking, but something that has more to do with the wheels or axles. It sounded almost like something rubbing or hitting together and it seems to be more on the driver side. It isn't a constant sound, but this morning on my way to work it was more noticeable than on Saturday. Any ideas? Also, the car isn't handling bad or pulling? Thanks!!"
