Wet carpet under passenger seat after every rain???

I have a moon roofed '94 Golf and after every rain, the carpet under the passenger seat is soaked; seats dry, headliner seem dry too....any ideas?

I fell like the 1000 questions guy. Trying to work out these last few quirks.

Thanks!!

Probably clogged sunroof drain under the plastic tray below windshield. Gets crammed with dirt and leaves overtime.

How do you clean it up properly? In addition, could this issue cause problems with the sunroof activating/moving?

I removed the plastic cover and vacuumed out the debris (there were some leaf bits, etc) but I cannot find where the water could drain through this 'trough'....anyone know where it is so I can insure it's clean? Thanks!

2007 VW Passat 2.0T B6 I4 BPY. I've heard that the rubber drain nipples under the wipers in the plenum chamber are the drains for the sun/moon roof. Cut off the tips. My sun/moon roof also opens and closes a crack every so often. Keep it free of ice. It seems doubtful, but it may have an automatic function like the parking brake does, where it cycles every so often. Search on YouTube 2007 BPYguy.

I had the same problem and found out that some how my AC was not draining properly and did some research and found that right behind the motor on the passenger side is a rubber stop that was pushed closed.
