HI all, am rebuilding my son's 01M and when I was disconnecting the shift linkage the part that snaps onto the ball on the shift lever broke. Is there a plastic bushing kit for this or do I have to buy the complete end for the shift linkage? If there is........ where can I get it and which one. thanks

to add some info..... it is a 2000 Jetta VR6 GLX, and it is the shifter linkage cable end socket. If I can just get a replacement bushing that would be great as that is the only part that broke.

automatics on these cars go out SO much, depending on your area I would just call up yards that take apart cars and sell the parts for cheap. You should be able to find a dozen shifter assemblies in decent shape for cheap with a cheap warranty.
