Hey VW Folks,

I have a 1988 VW Fox. Pretty low miles. Had a bad head gasket that I replace. After replacing it ran better than it ever had for the 4 year it before hand. Then I decided to clean the engine with a pressure washer, being as gentle as i could with it. Anyhow, ever since then it stalls on a cold startup. Once it is well warmed up it runs super smooth. Also, it has zero problems with initial turnover and firing. Its starts great ... and then stalls. Also, I can hear a vacuum leak from the break vacuum assist. I see that there is a hose going from this vacuum assist the the gas/air intake. The choke/cold start gas assist (name?) is spraying gas in a nice cone when I try to start it. Could this vacuum leak be causing the issue? Any other ideas?
