Good Afternoon Ladies and Gents,

I'm currently working on cleaning up some pretty massive carbon deposits in my exhaust manifold SAI ports and im wondering if anyone knows where the ports that lead into the block go. I need to clean those out and want to make sure I'm not about to shove a bunch of soot into some vital component inside the block.

thanks in advance

most people probably know about the carbon build up on the 2.0L turbo engine. The direct injection and recycling system creates the perfect storm for carbon to build up on the valves and other things.
Volkswagen claims this is a "maintenance" issue, like tires, oil, brakes. So VW, are you telling me that removing my intake and manually scraping the carbon off of my engine components is regular maintenance I should be doing every 30k miles? This is ridiculous.
