Hey , need some advice/help
Got a 2008 Vw Polo I have just bought , it’s 1 elderly owner from new with 87k on clock with full history
The car has been sat for a few months with 1/4 tank of fuel on gauge
Went to start it and takes around 10 seconds of key turning for the engine to finally turn on , drove a bit unsteady for 2 miles and engine light came on and limp mode.
renewed all 4 spark plugs and coil packs , major service including fuel filter and put £30 of fresh unleaded in system. Drove and idled spot on for around 15 miles and now when engine speed at 4K rpm in third the engine light flickers then stays on permanent , basically under heavy load and engine hesitates and looses power. If I turn car off and on again the engine light disappears and restores power for a few miles before the issues happens again.
Issue only happens when vehicle under load above 3k revs , no coloured smoke or smells from exhaust tip
Pulled new spark plug out after 40 miles of driving and it’s black compared to the rest
I’ll attach a picture of the one fault stored , picture of spark plug and clip of engine at idle shaking when engine is running
Fault codes stored is 16686:000 Cylinder 2 misfire detected
