why does the R32 horsepower increase as yours go down as the rpms go up? I understand that they are different engines but i assumed they would be similar.

I thought i read something about the 24V engines are different besides just the increase of HP (and the extra 12V). Supposely they have a flatter hp curve. Anyone know about this or am i sniffing to much glue?

Dave has a 12v, not a 24. Im pretty sure that the 24 valve is 201 hp (as advertised by vw at least).

yeah 2001 and older were 174 hp (and i think some early 2002) and the 2002.5 and up are 200-201. I was wondering how different the engines are.
