#1) The Volkswagen Beetle was introduced to Mexico for the first time in March of 1954. However, the vehicle wasn’t exactly popular at first. The Mexican motoring press, which was largely supported by advertising dollars promoting larger, more powerful American vehicles, started rumors that the Volkswagen Beetle wasn’t reliable.

#2) Produced for 65 years with no breaks, the VW Beetle has seen the longest continuing run of any vehicle to date. With new models introduced every few years, it is likely that no other vehicle will be produced for this long again.
