Here is a dyno test from a MK 12V VR6 with 89 octane gas compared to 93 octane.

those are pretty good gains for using 93 octane.

dam you and your 93 octane!!!

Lucky people; I must reiterate that we get nothing but 91 in Southwest region; 92 in WA...

I would then its an even bigger gain in the 1.8t. I can get free gas, but the best gas they have is 89. When I'm broke ill fill a 1/4 tank with 89 and it feels like I have 4 people in my back seat.

That's $.10 * 14 gallons/tank * 52 weeks/year = $73/year for someone who uses 1 tank a week. Not bad for that much power.
