I have an old stand-up fridge/freezer under $1500 like on the https://refrigeratorfaq.com in the garage functioning as my beer fridge. I just made the leap into kegging and now have to consider temperature a little more than I used to. I live in a cold climate (average daily temps below freezing Nov-Mar) so the garage fridge currently gets unplugged during winter. What are my options for hooking up some kind of warmer to keep it warm for a few more months? I'm not necessarily looking for dead of winter use, but if that's a possibility then I'll consider it.

I've thought about rigging the incandescent light to stay on but not sure where to dig for wires or if that will give off enough heat. I saw an idea of hooking up a spare hairdryer, etc ot a temp controller but haven't gotten far with planning. Any watchouts from the community or good guides to get some ideas flowing?
