Hello All,

I'm dating myself - my very first car at the age of 16 was a 1960 Beetle purchased for the princely sum of $50 (Canadian). It was my first foray into restoring/repairing a car. I rebuilt the engine, replaced the brakes and painted the car using an attachment on the output of a vacuum cleaner :) Fast forward 47 years later and I have acquired a 1970 Auto Stick (strange - its a 1300cc engine). It was a project my father-in-law decided not to start. So I will be doing a long distance restoration - visiting the family for a 3 week stint once or twice a year. Looking forward to the challenge.

Thank you and take care,
PK

Speaking of repairs, have you noticed it's very gradually getting more difficult to scramble under cars?
The good news is that if you work out at least three days/week this disturbing trend along with other bad things can be reversed or slowed.

At your latitude I hope you have a heated space to do your work. All my auto repair/maintenance tasks have been curbside.

Good luck with your long commute. . .:)
