I have a vw mk4, the battery is not charging but the alternator is ok, it was test and it was ok, all the connectios are fine too, fuse box over the battery is ok, i have no idea where too look, anyone can help please!!!!

I am not sure but I think the alternator should be directly wired to the battery, so if you are only getting 12.8 I would re test the alternator.
At an idle mine charges at 14.4
I would check and make sure all of your connections are good. Make sure your frame ground is clean and tight.
There is a voltage regulator in the alternator than can go bad.
