It is sad that you need a VAGCOM to change brakes these days. I heard that you need a good vcds Ross-tech to unwind the parking brake motors on that car.
I read that there is a way to reset the caliper pistons by disconnecting the electrical connector at the caliper and applying 12v and ground to the 2 terminals on the caliper side of the harness.
This is supposed to retract the piston partially. If it doesn't, try reversing the polarity.
Google "retract caliper electronic parking brake"
Again, I've only read about it, but have never tried it.
