Is there a way to tell if my vr6 has had any cam work done. I used to have a 2001 vr6 and earlier this year got a 2003, I know the engine has more power but it seems a lot faster.

Pull the valve cover. Doubt it has cams. Does anything look like it was removed? Plus with cams you need new software.

i cant tell if anything has been removed and I know just before I got the car it had the timing chain replaced and some other stuff.

I bought the car cuz it was a 24v vr6 but it is only like 30hp difference from the two.

You have to realize that the close to 30hp difference between the two is close to 20% more horsepower. There will be a very noticeable difference. It is not like it is a 375 vs 400hp car. Small changes in hp are noticed more when you have lower numbers. Depending on the cams, you will notice a difference in the way the engine runs. Look up videos on youtube of vr6s with cams. They sound way different than stock.
