Hello everybody,
I am having a VW Polo 9N 2003 1.9 TDI and i encountered a problem. Yesterday morning i could not start the car because battery was low (outside were about 1 degree Celsius).I mention that battery is quite new, bought it 2 months ago ( Varta 74Ah 12V 680A). So i have checked if any component from the car were consuming current from battery over the night. And guess what there was about 1,3 A consumption at standby. So i have removed fuses one by one to find out which was the consumer. There were 2 consumers : Audio system, navigation system (F51) and Multifunction control module2, alarm system, central locking (F50). After removing the Audio system fuse, 0,680 A were left, and after removing the central locking fuse -> 0,05 A were showing , which i found out that is normal consumption. Ok so for Audio system i might guess that the problem is in a new player which i installed, and i unplugged it for the moment. But for the central locking system i don't know why it consumes too much. Could it be that comfort module is broken ? Or there might be some short-circuit in the locking system ? Also i want to mention that two doors are not closing/opening by remote control or by key. I have run a diagnostic check and there is one fault found in the comfort module :
