Hello fellow VW enthusiasts,

I own a MK2 Syncro, but the previous owner swapped the engine to the 1.9L Turbo Diesel 55kW from a MK3.
However, since the original engine was a 1.8L NA Petrol 66kW, he didn't change the gearbox so now the gears are too short since they're designed for a petrol engine.
Now I've found a guy selling a gearbox from a MK3 TDI Syncro, which would suit me very well.

The problem is that my clutch is mechanical, and the gearbox that I'm willing to buy needs a hydraulic clutch.

Is it possible to install that gearbox into my MK2?

Thank you in advance! :)
