the past few days ive been trying to install a set of aero speed coilovers on my '99 jetta A3 and the back was fairly easy but the front first off i dont know if the threded part will fit over the strut on one part (the part that holds the boot over the strut) looks to big for it to go over it and second on the nut on the top of the strut (under the hood) we could not get off and after about 5 hours many different ways and many many trips to autozone as well as many new tools in my tool box we could not get it off i was wondering if anyone has had this trouble and what they did to fix it as much as i hate taking my car somewhere to get something like this put on im bout out of ideas thanks.

need an impact gun to get the bolts off. spins right off with enough pressure/same way with putting them back on. there is a bolt on the retaining cap the needs a speciall tool but is easy to get off.
