Death wobble

Thanks for having me as my title suggest I am a professional mechanic in the Detroit area but at the local Chevy dealer. My brother, with the money,has recently purchased a 1978 vw bus. Looks good from the outside at least from the pics he sent me. It has the death wobble going over railroad tracks and bumps. Pretty sure I am looking at a front end issue. Any common issues with these? Haven't seen it in person yet but afraid too look under it. Thank for any advice/tips
